For Honor had a terrible launch. Interest in the game was massive, and preview play sessions within controlled conditions were positively gushing. It was, and is, a well-designed medieval combat game. Lots of loading screens, and then this: Fast-forward to now, and Ubisoft has overhauled the network architecture to include dedicated servers on its PC version. Ubisoft is being very loud about the improvements. But has it worked? Is it free of the desynchronisations, lag, and other bugs plaguing it? By that we mean, we literally could not play For Honor when it launched. A later update would detect a desynch and replace all the enemies with bots.

We just announced Clash , a new team-based competitive mode coming to League in We saw that players struggled to manage their team effectively and it felt like a chore to get four friends together who would commit to grinding all year to get to Diamond. This, coupled with increasing queue times and poor quality matches, made for a pretty crappy experience. Considering how fun League can be when playing in a group of friends, the Ranked Teams queue ultimately felt like a missed opportunity.
